This _might_ not be sufficient. The webserver needs not only access to the
final path but rather needs to be allowed to read and traverse every path
in this tree. Plus the necessary rights must be set for the font file.
Try to open the font file in r/o mode using fopen() as I suggested - if
this works you have at least ruled out any basic permission problems.
