This shouldn't be hard. Subscribe to the mailing lists devoted to leading Java application servers and gather the list of problems people are facing. We are talking simple problems here, like trying to keep the application server running for an extended period of time. Compile all the gripe mails and send them to management. That should take care of it. Vikram -----Original Message----- From: Paulson, Joseph V. The company I work for is thinking about doing away with PHP (we are using 3.0.15). We use it for all of our intranet things, which is 100's of applications. They are wanting to go with Java servlets, beans etc. The thing is everyone here loves PHP so we are having to compile a big list why we want to keep it with our company. I was wondering if anyone could possibly point me to ANY and ALL articles talking about security, speed, and anything else you could think of that would make PHP look good to the higher ups :) Articles comparing PHP to Java would be the best if there are any! Any help would be GREAT because all the developers here love php and don't want to have to rewrite everything using java. Thanks, Jay Paulson Developer, Web Technologies Viatel, Inc.
