If you're running sendmail
How about setting up a text file with all the email addresses to be sent to
and then a sendmail alias that calls that file.
ie /etc/aliases
myfreakymaillist: :include: /home/httpd/mailinglist
all you would need to do is mailto: myfreakymaillist and all
of the
recipients in /home/httpd/mailinglist would be mailed.
just another option.
personnaly I let my page time out as it still sends the emails to the 1300+
addresses on my list.
