I am not that good in what you're trying to do, but what if you just use
sleep(2) on each, let's say, 1000 processes, in this way everything could
relax for few seconds and then continue... making so a little slower but
more secure transfer.

Subject: [PHP] Memory Leaks
Hi,
I have written a php script which will transfer the contents of one table
across to another database.
It does a few data integrity checks during the transfer as the new (cleaner)
table structure contains lookup tables instead of text fields.
The script needs to import approx 1 million records but gradually grows in
size until the server crashes.
I can only seem to process 10,000 records at one time.
Is there anyway I can stop the script from slowly chewing up all the memory?
Are there any housecleaning routines I can run to free up memory?
