I am new to PHP and have a quick question,
I am setting up an automated reply after a client completes a form using the
following code..
#####################
<?php
mail("$HTTP_POST_VARS[email]", "Registration Recieved",
"
Dear, $HTTP_POST_VARS[name]
Thank you for your payment.
Thank you speach here BLA BLA BLA...
Thank you
myemail@domain.com
",
"From: myemail@domain.com");
?>
####################
It works fine on one of my servers, but it is extremly SLOOOOWW on one of
the other servers.
Is this somthing that is wrong with the code or the server? I am thinking
it is the server or maybe the instalaton of PHP it self on the server. <?php
phpinfo() ?> works just fine and is quick. I have tried a scaled down
version for the mail code, (see below) and it is still very slow. Can
somthing be done to the server to tweak it or the PHP instalation itself??
Here is a link to my PHP Info file. http://www.dotcom.am/phpinfo.php3
and here is a link to the code you see below.
http://www.dotcom.am/mailit/mail11.php3 email
address is my own in this
code.
####################
<?php
mail(myemail@server.com, "My Subject", "Line 1\nLine 2\nLine 3");
?>

Any help would be GREAT!
Thank you
