Common sense should tell you to avoid a *.0 release, especially for a
production box. Hopefully the PHP list serve was not your main reason for
waiting on the next distro...
I've been using 7.0 on a development box, and on my desktop since it came
out, and I see no compelling reason to upgrade any production servers with
it.
Big deal if it comes with PHP, MySQL, and Apache already installed. RH 6.2
comes with everything but mysql, a quick download and 5 minutes later you
got mysql...
You have to 'fix' mysql on the 7.0 release anyway, it has permissions issues
out of the box, and the PHP release is not current, bleeding edge, which is
the only real reason why anyone would want to upgrade to RH 7.0. RedHat has
rpms on their site to fix mysql, but again I ask what does 7.0 give you in
the way of web serving that 6.2 doesn't?
Lilo has a gui screen now, big deal.
"Upgrading" means taking out the old bugs and putting in new ones...
