Actually, humor aside (and I appreciated it, for one) I agree that there are frequent redundant threads. I've pretty much stopped answering things that aren't directly related to ODBC, due to sheer volume, and rather 'miss' some of the architecture or programming questions because of it. I know we have discussed a FAQ before, with one of the issues being that newbies won't go read it, but since Andreas has so nicely summarized the bulk of the weekly threads, perhaps we should compile a list of answers and include a link to them as a header in every email going through the list. Eg. when someone subscribes or posts, the first line in an email would be: Please check www.php.net/FAQ/activeFAQ for recommendations and HOWTO's. Maybe this won't work either, but we've already split the list into 5 or so, and the volume is creeping up again.
