You just have to make sure that db.database.com is accepting remote
requests. (if you are planning to use it just as the database, and your
script is far from there...)

Subject: [PHP] newbie question
Hello,
I have a site that uses a database at "localhost", and am getting ready
to move it to a dedicated MySQL server. The script to access it right
now is:
mysql_pconnect("localhost","username","password")
or die("Unable to connect to SQL server");
mysql_select_db("database_db") or die("Unable to
select database");
When I move this database, will this work:
mysql_pconnect("db.database.com","username","password")
or die("Unable to connect to SQL server");
or do I need to do something drastic?
thanks in advance
shawn
