will that work? i mean, this assumes you have both php3 and php4 running.
although this is possible i don't think it is the issue here so do this
instead :
AddType application/x-httpd-php .php .php3 .foo .bar
and for good measure, either change your index.php3 or :
DirectoryIndex index.php3 index.php index.html
so that it'll load by default your index.php3 first, if it does not exist
then it'll move down the line. But again, your ISP _hopefully_ will
consider these things! Actually, it would be best if you ask them how
they will handle this so you can be sure because it is totally up to them
(and you!).
