I know that this has been said in the past, perhaps in this thread. VI (vim especially, http://www.vim.org/) is absolutely wonderful. I should also throw in my plug for GNU emacs. Check http://www.gnu.org for details. I never use it, but I don't want to discredit it. Both of these programs will basically allow you to do anything you could ever want to do to a (multiple) text file and more. If you are the 'less' type of person, pico is not bad, neither is notepad.exe. Write.exe is also good. It is the programmer that makes the code, not the editor. The more you can think without highlighting the better a programmer you will eventually become. just my 1/50 of an United States dollar. -jeremy brand --- "Chris Sano" <csano@choiceoneonline.com> > wrote: >Why not just go with Allaire Homesite? -- this package has support for CFML, >ASP, JSP and PHP and comes at a good market value. > >You can add your own tags too as well. > > >-----Original Message----- >From: Brian Tully [mailto:btully@gstockco.com] >Sent: Tuesday, October 31, 2000 1:09 PM >To: Dan Harrington; PHP >Subject: Re: [PHP] "UltraDev" for PHP > > >ahhh yes... the ubiquitous Ultradev/PHP question... > >While I know of many Dreamweaver and PHP users who would LOVE to see PHP >support in Ultradev (including myself), it appears Macromedia has no >interest/intent of doing so.
