Newbie question........................very silly

Hi I am a newbie and am making a phone book database manager. I am using PHP 4.0 and MySQL. I have a HTML form called ins.html. It takes data and tries to insert data using a PHP file called ins_done.php. My problem is, the user has to click 'BACK' after inserting each record. I want to avoid this. Should I make a single file called ins.php which initialises a flag varialbe and also inserts data and then check this flag everytime? Please help..
