One thought...
If you get in the habbit of writing this as ( '' == $foo ) you will get a
syntax error instead of faulty operation if you ever accidentaly type
( '' = $foo ). if( $foo = '' ) is legal code, but not even close to what
you want, and often hard to debug. (I came from a Pascal/Delphi
background, and don't want to admit how many hours I spent tracking that
little problem.)
