I'm trying to make a guestbook like this...
the user can only post one message per day... so I figured I had to use cookies right?
I'm new to PHP so I'm not really gettin this...
the posts are divided into pages (10 posts/page)... and the user is free to navigate... and there's always a form there so he can post the message... but once he does it, I don't want the form to show anymore... I tried to do this by testing the cookie vars... sometimes it works but sometimes it doesn't and comes with very weird results like inserting into the DB completely empty posts (and all the fields are NOT NULL), which is REALLY weird (BTW, using MySQL)...
the user posts, the form isn't showed, and the navigation is crazy... let's say there are 5 pages... in 3 of them the form won't show, and the other two it will ALWAYS show... and the weirdest part... if go back to page 1 (not mattering in wich page he filled the form) it includes that creepy void post (and it doesn't even show the message 'Message Included')...
I've already included all that header(cache: no cache, and pragma, and blabla)... no success... it still uses cache... and that I thinks is the main problem...
thanks...
