Well that worked just fine Peter. I used 'localhost' as the server name and put in the number you gave me and the mail got sent. Now I am completely baffled. I thought dns numbers were 'places'... My own dns was no good, so where is 192.153.156.22 that anyone can use it to make their own machine work. Thanks for the help.. Now I'll go fire up apache and the rest and see how everyone gets along... I'll be back.
