It is a standard part of the qmail install to setup a wrapper script which
answers sendmail command calls and invokes qmail to serve the functions
required.
If this was elected during the linux install of qmail --
(something for you to determine -- try $which sendmail and check the ls -l
of the file; if it is tiny, cat it -- it will be a script invoking qmail --
if it is not a small file don't cat it -- it'll be the binary and will mess
up your terminal session, at least )
-- it will not require any tweaks to use exactly asif it were sendmail, as
far as PHP scripts are concerned.

Erik
