They can be mirrored as a newsgroup (which is where I'm taking part in this) and, if you desire, can be mirrored on web pages using a combination of something like MHonArc and CGI programming (we do this for our technical mailing lists, so that technicians can always access--and post to--the lists). It is much easier to apply custom filters and sorting to mailing lists (and newsgroups) than to bulletin board systems. And it seems to be easier to mirror mailing lists in new formats than to mirror BBS discussions in e-mail or newsgroup format. Jerry
