UBB is a resource hog, if you've ever seen a busy one you will say how bad that software is. Besides even netscape mail thingy organises messages by thread or subject, Having to load bloated 50k or larger web pages just to read messages is not fun. There are php sites around with bulletin boards if thats what you want. zend.com, phpbuilder.com and weberdev.com.
