Hi,
A couple of things to check,
1) Are you trying to read the cookie aross domain? ie if your Perl cgi
script that set the cookie is on a different domain than your PHP script
then your PHP script will not be able to read the cookie set by the perl
script. This is by design.
2) Did your perl script set PATH value in your cookie? If you did set the
PATH explicitly (ie not "/" but something like /cgi-bin or something like
that) and your PHP script is located in a different directory then your PHP
scripts won't be able to read your cookie.
