rm config.cache, make clean, config, make and make install.
I couldn't find any information in Red Hats Referenzhandbuch. You could
try to find the apache location and search if there is a bin/apxs file.
If so you can configure PHP with ./configure
--with-apxs=/path/to/apache/bin/apxs. If you can't find apxs install an
Apache tarball and install that. Everythink you should know is in the
INSTALLs and READMEs.
