If the JavaScript file is included in the HTML document using the
standard
<script language="JavaScript" src="blahblah.js"></script>, then you
download this file when you visit the site without knowing it. Try the
following :
1) Go to any site -- other than jcpenny.com -- and clear out the
browsers cache. When you go visit the site, the HTML file will be
cached along with all support files -- images, .js, .css, etc... The
only real hitch here is that the cached files don't have the same
names. Netscape changes everything to an eight letter name starting
with M.
2) Go to your browser's cache directory and open the .js files you
find. One of them will be the file you seek.
3) Copy the file to your work directory and change the name to something
more appropriate.
I suggest clearing out the cache before doing this in the event you
already have a ton of stuff cached away. Deleting all the old stuff
will make your hunt much faster.
Take care and all the best,
Gary
