Greetings all;
My work week this week started with a problem that I have not yet been able
to resolve.
I have installed PHP successfully (compiled into apache) on a few machines,
without any hitches now. They have been running smoothly for some time.
However, the company just recently purchased two new web servers.
They are running the usual:
RedHat 6.2
Apache 1.3.12
Mod_ssl (2.5.1)
PHP4.0.1pl2
(and mysql 3.22.32)
Now, whenever I try to access any of the session functions (session_start();
or session_register("x");) The web server does not send a response... it
just sits there until the connection times out. If the page calling the
session tools is in a frame, the rest of the frames load, and the "session
frame" sits there until timeout.
I've used the exact same configure scripts as the other machines, which are
working fine:
PHP is configured as:
./configure -with-apache=../apache_x --with-mysql=/usr/local -enable-track-
vars -disable-debug
make clean
make
make install
as well as apache:
./.configure -prefix=/www --activate-module=src/modules/php4/libphp4.a (and
some ssl stuff)
All compiles OK, web server starts up. It parses out all php scripts OK...
Just when it reaches those darn sessions.
Any ideas, anyone???
Thanks in advance!
Sean.
