Hi, Nicole.
Thanks for your reply. I really appreciate your consideration.
I'm afraid that I've been all over both resources and can't find the answer
that I'm looking for. Here's some quick background:
My father runs a plain-vanilla website. It's "dumb" since it doesn't have
PHP access from his server. I, however, do. He wants to advertise his site
on other websites by providing a link to his site that will include a query
string. The link on the foreign site will look like:
<A HREF="http://www.fathersite.com?id=1">Daddy!</A>
I need to shove a cookie down the surfer's throat who clicks on that link
and include the identifier in that cookie and I'd like to do it with PHP.
So, the flow would look like:
Foreign site (click here)
\
\
Me and my big, hairy PHP script
/
/
Daddy
Once on my father's site, the surfer can roam all around but he'd carry that
identifier with him throughout the site. This, I couldn't find an answer to
in the resources listed above. Did I miss something or do you have a better
idea?
Thanks in advance,
Murph
