I strongly recommend you look at Homesite
(http://www.allaire.com/products/homesite/). Their new 4.5.1 versions has
amazing color coding support for PHP. Just to name a few, it supports:
PHP
ASP-Generic
ASP-Jscript
ASP-VBScript
CSS
HTML
HTML FULL TAG
Java
Javascript
JSP
Perl
SQL
VBScript
VTML
and of course CFML
And yes, it supports color coding for PHP+Javascript+anything else at the
same time. I've been using Homesite since their 2.0 version, since then I
have tried every single editor including that ones that have been suggested
on this list and none compare.
Aside from color coding and PHP support, It is an amazing HTML editor. It
seems like every time they come out with a new version, I ask myself, "What
else can they possibly add" and sure enough their next release is always
full of surprises.
You should definitely check. According to magazines, awards, and myself--it is
the best Editor out there.
