Jani, She's not talking about m4 stuff. What she wants, is for all of the gen_*.c files to be generated first, and only then should they be compiled. Right now gen_atk.c is generated and compiled right away, then gen_pango.c, then gen_gdk.c, and so on. It might be an issue if gen_atk.c needs to include gen_gtk.h, for example, which it doesn't right now, but could potentially. So, can we have a rule that generates the gen_* files all together first? -Andrei On Oct 12, 2005, at 11:01 AM, Jani Taskinen wrote:

Where there's the line PHP_GTK_EXTENSION([gtk+], no, [php_gtk+.c], [gen_atk.c gen_pango.c gen_gdk.c gen_gtk.c php_gtk+_types.c]) at the end of ext/gtk+/config.m4, there needs to be some kind of dependancy check for the gen_*.c files to ensure that their gen_*.h equivalent actually exists before the gen_*.c file is compiled. Although TBH it seems gen_gtk.c is the only one really causing problems, it'd be better to err on the side of caution.
Dependancy in config.m4?? No, you need to make sure the config.m4's are
included in right order. That's accomplished by putting the number in place
of X in "configX.m4" if they're not in right order "alphabetically" already.
