Ah. The gen_*.h files are generated FROM the gen_*.c files, in
ext/gtk+/Makefile.frag, which is called from php-gtk.config.m4, which is
called from build2/build2.mk, which is called from build2/build.mk, which is
called from ./buildconf.
As far as I can figure out, anyway.
The problem comes when the generation of the header files isn't complete
before the next stage... and the four header and four source files are all
generated in the same script, which is ext/gtk+/Makefile.frag. The C files
seem to be already generated, but the H files are still only halfway
complete by the time ext/gtk+/config.m4 tries to compile them. It's not the
ordering of the config.m4 files that's the issue here, it's the time taken
to generate those (large) files that causes the problem.
Is there no way to ensure that the files are completely generated before the
Makefile.frag script ends?
