Andrei wanted to generate the gen_*.c files once and for all, and
package that with the alpha release so that the end-users don't have to
do that everytime; since we're not going to be adding any new overrides
anyway.
That should reduce the build time for those using the alpha release.
This is how I see it, hope I'm right.
