If you put [PATCH] at the beginning of the subject line they're easy to search for and find. It's the unmarked mails with content like 'by the way, patch attached' that cause the problems :)

Steph,Why are you putting these in as bug reports???Because Andrei once told me that they are more visible in the bug tracker. I don't want to apply them to cvs because my C isn't that good and the patches probably need a review. If you want, I just send plain mails to the list.
