This post passed me by completely somehow, probably 'cos I don't always have time to open invisible email. This is actually the display_startup_errors issue that I sent a patch to internals@ for on January 4th, and again on January 10th. If you recall, Dmitry turned it down on the grounds that the current ZE behaviour is correct.
