Evidently it's nothing to do with the E_STRICT, which is only thrown if you turn on something in php.ini that is off by default.
If one thinks about it, yes, the E_STRICT warnings are only a distant symptom of the engine problem.
'The Engine problem' is that it defines the relationships.
