Perhaps I wasn't very clear.
The reason for moving to NTS in the first place is that Edin (who creates pecl4win and all PHP win32 distros) is moving that way..

Steph Fox wrote:I don't see any point in this one. We only had ZTS before, and we're about to lose it anyway, no?Theoretically it's a great idea to only allow it to build without ZTS...in the real world...with windows PHP users... The main problem I see is that there will be people who want to use third party extensions that are ONLY available in ZTS mode (zend anyone?) - it might be nice to ALLOW building with zts even if the "official" php-gtk2.dll binaries are only distributed as non-zts - this just allows a choice in the matter. It might be smart to have two versions of php-gtk2 - a non-zts one that's "recommended" and a zts version that will work with the extensions from pecl4win and third party stuff. Otherwise we'll basically have to have our own pecl4win with extensions and that might get messy - anyway the patch allows people to build both regardless of what the decision on the "official" distribution is. -- PHP-GTK Development Mailing List (http://gtk.php.net/) To unsubscribe, visit: http://www.php.net/unsub.php
