Cheers,
I do not understant this. There is two versions of scintilla for php-gtk, one fron Tom which is build direct from the scintilla on windows and the other you make which is based on GtkScintilla on Linux. The version from tom(which works on windows) is not hard to make it work on linux, I did this some time ago(there is a message on the mailing list about this). I build the scintilla which creates a .a lib and add this to makefile by hand(I do not know about how to make this using the build system). But I do not have the files now :( The most important thing is have one of they working both on windows and linux. If we gonna use the version that uses the GtkScintilla we can at last replace the files from scintilla that it uses to the last scintilla? About the installer. Elizabeth done some work on it, currently it only install the php and the php-gtk, without any extension. We need only add the files for extensions and it´s dependencies. If Elisabeth can not work on it, I can, but I can not build the files(I do not have MSVC), so she must send all files for me.
Oh hurray, does that mean everyone is waiting on me again? Fernando - you can get all the working files you need from http://perisama.net/downloads - grab the MSVC6 versions. Libraries to bundle are in http://perisama.net/libs/gtk . If you could get a little more of the installer done I'd appreciate it. Basically it needs extensions and double click open with php-gtk2 registration. At this point we need either me to get gtkscintilla building with microsoft visual studio (with the newer bundled version of scintilla) or figure out how to build the bundled scintilla library and link it statically into php-gtk as part of the php-gtk build (Anant never did get it figured out). Any linux autojunk guru's want to step up to the plate? I won't have time to attack gtkscintilla until next week probably. I think as soon as we get the scintilla thing figured out and the installer semi-functional we're go for a beta... Anyone have some overrides done?
Important! I think that a release is a good thing to tell everyone that the project is under active work! Fernando Correa da Conceição
