From Christian's docs on GtkToolbar:
The original toolbar creates buttons with icons and text automatically in a way <classname>GtkItemFactory</classname> allows it. In php-gtk, you have to create every single button yourself.
This is a perfect example of what the wrappers would be good for. Instantiate the wrapped class and just pass it the info for each button (or all buttons at once). It would take care of creating the buttons and adding them to the toolbar.
Whether or not there is an offical PHP-Gtk wrapper set, this would be a good idea for PEAR.
