The original toolbar creates buttons with icons and text automatically in a way <classname>GtkItemFactory</classname> allows it. In php-gtk, you have to create every single button yourself.
Whether or not there is an offical PHP-Gtk wrapper set, this would be a good idea for PEAR. Andrei is checking what it takes to implement the functions, so we should wait until he says yes or no.It's not only this function but the set_relief and some others which also had to be emulated.
