This is an open source project. If you have something constructive to add, and can work as part of a group, then please add it and join us.
Oh... didn't know that. I made an effort to get involved in Smarty (which I like and use) some time ago, which was not very welcome :)
For one, I would help persuading people to exhibit their (perhaps at least with name, short summary, screen shot(s) and a link?
That's offline for the very good reason that our existing apps database was eaten in a nasty server accident. The infrastructure for manual notes administration has been rewritten from scratch and is at the debugging stage (and should go live next week or very shortly thereafter), and the apps admin will be dealt with after that (and should be easier going because there's the notes system to base it on).
Would that be possible somehow?
Yes of course, and please go for it when you see some movement!
but in my view a concentrated effort
will bring much more - I mean I am, for instance, not a big fan of PEAR, but I think their effort to stay focused has brought good fruits.
Their 200+ active developers help a little :)
Well, this is a bit like the egg and the hen. As outlined above, my starting point would be to invite people to present their apps there. This might encourage people to enhance these apps, to develop new apps and at the end, it will encourage the PHP-GTK developers, too.
Yes, it does help some.
And PHP-GTK is kind of lagging behind. When people see good apps on central site - may be the whole think will take off in a better manner.
Having a full release might help too!
Yes, I agree!
