Cool, that worked for the build (the date changed and the configure line changed), but my goal was to add --enable-gettext and --enable-domxml, but neither shows up in the php -m list or phpinfo(); Why would PHP pass configuration and not actually install the modules!? Man this has never been this strange. Thanks for the first response. -----Original Message----- From: Jens Rosenthal [mailto:mailings@edv-rosenthal.de] Sent: Sunday, May 04, 2003 3:49 AM To: 'Ben Lake'; php-install@lists.php.net Subject: RE: [PHP-INST] Re-configure! Hi, did you make a "make clean" after the configure? I experienced so strange behaviour myself, time ago. It seems php is updating some things only if "clean". I am trying to reconfigure PHP 4.3.1 with additional --enable's but after I do the configure, make, make install, I do a php -m to see the modules I added and I get nothing. Even if I do a --disable-xml (since it is installed by default), it doesn't go away in php -m. What must I do to re-build PHP? I could have sworn I did this before. I originally compiled PHP when I had the 2.4.20-8 kernel under Redhat 9, but I was able to get it to compile under the 2.4.20-9 kernel and PHP updated the System line in phpinfo(); Any info would be appreciated.
