ODBC Openlink Connection problems..

Hi all !
I've managed to configure, make and install PHP w. Openlink and the
functions are there alright. But when I try to connect to my DSN set up in
odbc.ini, I get the following error :
Warning: SQL error: [OpenLink][ODBC]RPC: Unknown host, SQL state 08004 in
SQLConnect in /var/www/html/fpm/connect.php on line 31
can not connect to DSN: DSN=STFI
The environment variables are there :
putenv("LD_LIBRARY_PATH=/usr/local/openlink/odbcsdk/lib");
putenv("ODBCINSTINI=/usr/local/openlink/bin/odbcinst.ini");
putenv("ODBCINI=/usr/local/openlink/bin/odbc.ini");
and I can successfully print them from my .php page (even before I use
putenv), and the DSN works fine in odbctest supplied with openlink..
now I'm stuck !!! ..
Anyone feel friendly ?
