Hi,
as quoted from the README (php_pam.newest):
PHP4:
cd into the php4/ext directory and untar the php_pam archive.
cd to the toplevel php4 directory (cd ..)
run 'aclocal; autoconf'
configure and compile as described in the PHP4 INSTALL file. Be
sure to
include --with-pam in your configure options.
as quoted from pam_auth (pam_auth-0.3) README:
How do I Install it?
Very easily! Simply untar the file, and copy it to your php source
directory in the ext/ subdirectory. In the top level of the source
directory, run the buildconf script (i.e. ./buildconf). Then, simply
build as usualy, specifying the --with-pam_auth flag to build it in.
In the near future I will put up instructions for building a shared
module, and make binary loadable modules available for Solaris
and
Linux.
However, I will point out the following later down the README
states thus:
I tried it, but I get an error about a call to undefined function.
What
gives?
For some reason, newer version of php4 do not always seem to
properly pdate the autoconf stuff when your run the buildconf
script. If you get this error, configure php again and then look
through the autoconf utput and look for a line that says "Checking
for Pam Auth support: es". If you don't see it, it isn't getting built
in. To fix this, run the command 'autoconf' in the top level php
source directory, this hould update the configure script to recognize
the pam auth stuff. un configure again and check for the
verification in the output.
two different PAM modules but it is quite obvious there are issues
with buildconf that running only 'autoconf' in the top level make
directory can fix.
anyway.. if by chance i do run buildconfig and ./configure by the
very rare chance decideds that 'Checking where to use pam etc...
(yes)' does show up..
i still get:
Making all in pam

im going to throw myself off a bridge.. there is 0 documentation
on this, zero threads elsewhere,
