This is getting frustrating.... I've downloaded the lastest sources for apache-1.3.14, php-4.0.3pl, mysql-3.23-27, gcc-2.95.2pl1, gnu make-3.78.1, glib-1.5. All to no avail. Apache works, mysql works, but when I run: ./configure --with-mysql --with-apxs=/usr/local/apache/bin/apxs --enable-libgcc make make install apachectl configtest I get: Syntax error on line 241 of /usr/local/apache/conf/httpd.conf: Cannot load /usr/local/apache/libexec/libphp4.so into server: dynamic linker: /usr/local/apache/bin/httpd: relocation error: symbol not found: pow I was also getting this under apache 1.3.12 pre-compiled from skunkware. The php3 was working ok but did not have mysql support in it. With the php3 installed as well under apache-1.3.12 the symbol was different: symbol __udivdi3: When I removed php3 then I got the pow symbol not found error. That's when I started from scratch first with 4.0.3 and now with 4.0.3pl1. Apache was made with: ./configure --prefix=/usr/local/apache --with-perl=/usr/local/bin/perl --enable-module=most --enable-shared=max --enable-module=info --enable-shared=info --enable-module=so I'm not a C programmer (why can't they write this stuff in COBOL?) so that could be a contributing factor. Any ideas (other than scrapping my SCO 5.0.5 platform and running it all under Linux)? ;-) -- Regards Frank S. Bernhardt b.c.s.i. 14 Halton Court Markham, ON.
