I appreciate that this may be your personal preference, but it's just
that - your personal preference. There's no justification to force the
communication style preferred to you on everybody else. You may easily
enforce it for yourself - just don't read any emails that did not pass
through the list on any of the list topics, you can even make an
automatic filter to make that happen - but there's no base for forcing
it onto others that may prefer different mode of communication and
making it a matter of general vote.
