Even if they manage to make the difference clear for the engine without resorting to “raw”, I think that it is important to have a syntactical marker for the sake of humans. Otherwise, someone would want to incrementally improve their class property, and at some unkwown point in time, it becomes unexpectedly unusable for references and array mutations. —Claude
