hmm, and what about this (please correct me if I'm wrong): <?php namespace T3::MyPackage::Controller; class Special extends Default { } ?> <?php namespace T3::OtherPackage::Controller; class Fancy extends Default { } ?> A search & replace of "Default" would replace both, T3::MyPackage::Controller::Default and T3::OtherPackage::Controller::Default - but they are not the same. The only way to refactor this would be by the help of a semantic-aware tool.
