I was wondering whether there is an extension upgrading guide somewhere?
I saw that https://wiki.php.net/phpng-int lists the
changes to zvals,
but it's not a guide and/or checklist on what to do for upgrading an
extension. This, IMO, should include things such as:
- which things needs changing
- how object instanciation is now different
- common pitfalls and errors.
- etc.
If there isn't such a thing, it's going to be quite necessary for 3rd
party extension developers I'd say.
cheers,
