imho, it's less "rational" because it's suddenly harder to read, but that's
just mho.
There are different sizes because it was suggested that major mirrors (ie,
those that give us a box) get to have a bigger banner, and those that are
simply mirrors would have a smaller one.
I may have gotten the index wrong, it was a rather quick scan.
