RE: Christudas.com mirror

One more important issue I wanted to raise. I use broadband connection and when I traceroute to in.php.net, the route goes to USA and comes back to India. Which means Website of www.php.net is faster than website of in.php.net and USA based website takes less hops than the Indian website. This is one of the reason why we should have mirror on different network which will resolve this issue. Once again keeping BOTH MIRRORS at SAME place, doesnt solve any purpose and for me, USA based website www.php.net is much faster than indian mirror. If both mirrors are to be kept at same place, we better call them BACKUP sites rather than MIRRORS. The decision of keeping both mirror at one place doesnt seem to have any technical advantage of mirroring. Bhavin Chandarana
