Hi All,
Firstly, let me thank everyone here who has offered to manage existing
mirrors, and offered to put in additional mirrors. It is real nice to
know that there are a lot of companies out there who want to help the
open source community in every possible manner.
Chris: I feel quite happy to know that you have chosen one of Directi's
web services. I believe, the point Derick was trying to make, while
pointing out that you are using a Directi service, is that - Directi,
quite possibly (:o) ) is a large organization with sufficient
infrastructure. You seem to have misinterpreted Dericks statement, when
you say that the "people on this list" confuse a "registrar" with
"bandwidth providers".
Btw, technically speaking - I don't think that "people on this list"
understand your statement - "CSL does not offer pop accounts for
security reasons" - I am sure CSL could install POP over SSL on its mail
server - unless of course :o) - CSL is the only organization in the
world which knows that there is a flaw in the implementation of POP over
SSL which "hotmail" has secretly rectified.
