Someone sometime showed us a setup of some monitoring service, which monitored the performance of all active mirrors sites. I can't find that letter anymore. Are you still here? Please raise your hand!
I don't know if my "mirmon" was the one you're looking for :)
It monitors mirrors with "MIRROR_OK" as mirror status and it's parsed from
phpweb/include/mirrors.inc

Ah great. The problem is that the master server does not see some of the mirrors (their IPs are randomly blocked at random intervals), and therefore some mirrors get disabled without any reason. So since our system people have not found the time for weeks now to fix this issue, I came up with the idea that we could swicth to use the aggregated output of your mirror monitoring setup to override the check data collected by the master server.
To make this possible, you should switch back to check all mirror sites (and not just MIRROR_OK), plus we would need a plain text list of mirrors with their last successful check time. Or alternatively, you can also set up the script we use on master.php.net and provide a dump of the check data, so we can check that too hourly.
This would not work if your IP gets disabled on the master server though, in which case I have no better idea, but wait for systems people to come up with something better...
