Using FireFox 1.0 on Mac OS X 10.3.7. Still problems (may be considered a problem). Steps to Reproduce: 1) Open URL from above, 2) Enter partial search term (e.g. "str_"), 3) Click on a function in drop down, 4) Browser loads appropriate function page, 5) Click Back button, 6) Goes Back to search.php page 7) Enter another partial search term (e.g. "com"), 8) Click on function and nothing happens. ------------------------------------------------------------------------ [2005-01-11 02:52:00] jed@php.net Thumbs up on that. ------------------------------------------------------------------------ [2005-01-10 18:51:33] goba@php.net Could everyone reading this bug report please find an uptodate mirror and see if the search suggestion works on the search page? One of the updated mirrors now is http://hu2.php.net/search.php If the function suggestions are working fine on this page, then we can deploy them again on all php.net pages again. ------------------------------------------------------------------------ [2005-01-10 14:39:32] goba@php.net It is not obfuscated, but rather compressed. We also link to the original uncompressed files on our search page, so you can get the source if you want. The script would be more than double its size, if it would not be compressed. It is done to get the script to our users as quickly as possible and use less bandwidth. ------------------------------------------------------------------------ [2005-01-10 14:10:28] mufus69 at yahoo dot co dot uk This problem is not restricted to WinXP/Opera. The .js code itself has all the hallmark of an exploit script, inefficiently attempting to obfuscate the code rather than normal "readable" javascript. The error, as reported by Mozilla 1.7.3 (Win32) is: Error: dcp is not defined Source File: http://www.php.net/functions.js Line: 2 Of course, "line 2" is of no use as the code is all on one or two lines... The issue only appears after a search has been performed. ------------------------------------------------------------------------ The remainder of the comments for this report are too long.
