something useful for parsing windows integrated domain login info into the respective domain and
userid:
list($domain,$user) = split("\\\\\\\\", $_SERVER['AUTH_USER']);
The above works when using IIS and windows authentication to Active Directory. The variable
$_SERVER['AUTH_USER'] contains both the domain and the user login, separated by a double
backslash (eg: DOMAIN\\username)
Accordingly, there needs to be a double double escaping =0)
