As it was maybe already said, you can use PEAR framework for
packaging/verifying/installing your Content Management System into
particular PEAR directory. But I'm really not sure, if it right place for
the execution CMS files, but you have probably more clear idea about this.
Anyway I'm using PEAR framework to distribute and install my special
PHP class files and than to use them together with PEAR ones. They were
never promoted here, simply because they did not fit PEAR needs (like your
CMS did not too).
