i'm trying to run the PEAR Web Installer on a PHP4 - ZendEngine2 install,
and it's segfaulting. tracking the crash through, i noticed what could
be a problem - if the Template_IT code tries to raise a fatal PEAR
error, inside the _initTemplate method of the web installer, it ends
up trying to call that very same method again to display the error.
this goes around in circles for a few times until it crashes.
don't know what would be a good solution - some kind of static
$last_file, or using the new debug_backtrace() (though that would
require 4.3 at least) - but thought i'd mention it in case
you hadn't come across it yet.
